AVCA Havendale Park Meet and Greet

AVCA hosted a community “Meet Up” supported by Alison Stewart from Cycle Toronto and Erhard Kraus from Huntingwood Cycle Group. Great to “see” each other again! Great opportunity to meet new and familiar neighbours!

AVCA Yard Sale

AVCA held a very successful Yard Sale on Saturday, May 28! The best part was seeing neighbours and friends reconnect with each other in person! Thank you to all who donated and participated!

AVCA Clean-Up in Havendale Park and Surrounding Area April 23, 2022

On a cold spring day many residents came out to clean Havendale Park, Donalda Park, local sidewalks, pedestrian pathways and West Highland Creek shores! Thank you to MP Jean Yip for joining us in our litter search. AVCA appreciated the many “gloved hands” who helped as we continue to be proud of our community!

Agincourt Adopt-A-Station Event December 14, 2019

Our community has truly adopted Agincourt GO Station as over 60 residents attended our event. Together with Metrolinx staff, Agincourt Village Community Association families worked with our resident artist Kseniya Tsoy to create a window painting of “Agincourt Past and Present.”

Crafts, treats, Santa’s visit, Scarborough Rosewood Food Drive and community fun were highlights. We appreciated having MP Jean Yip’s Assistant, MPP Aris Babikian and Councillor Karygiannis in attendance.

AVCA looks forward to the completion of our new expanded station in which our Agincourt Adopt-A-Station project can grow with more community participation.

Agincourt Adopt-A-Station Event October 19, 2019

Agincourt residents came together to create spooky windows at the Agincourt GO Station in preparation for Halloween. Lots of fun was had in the Halloween Photo Booth as well as while paining windows, assembling origami, learning about rail safety, decorating a pumpkin or munching on treats. Take a look! #MyAgincourtGO

Community Clean Up 2019

Thank you to our 20 plus residents who came out on a cold windy morning on April 27, 2019 to pick up litter from Donalda Park, Agincourt GO Station and our surrounding neighbourhood. Welcome Councillor Karygiannis as well as Prince Hall and his children from our Metrolinx Adopt-A-Station Project. #MyAgincourtGO

Brian and Shanley’s Tim Horton donation warmed our bodies and their leadership was appreciated. Agincourt Community pride is evident as we all enjoy garbage and litter free surroundings. Well Done Agincourt!

Another successful and enjoyable Agincourt Adopt-A-Station event was held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 with young and mature creative minds coming together to create “Spring” on the windows of Agincourt GO Station.

Flowers, birds and butterflies replaced the snowflakes on the east windows yet the historical Agincourt Village still graces the west windows.

Thank you to Prince Hall (Metrolinx) and the Agincourt Adopt-A-Station Committee as well as the many community members who showed their painting, planting and origami talents. Special appreciation to Sarah Martin (AVCA) for her leadership. Treats were provided by Ellis Don and enjoyed by everyone.

Community Clean Up 2017

Here are some photos from the Agincourt community and its residents

Thank you to the many residents who helped in our second annual community clean-up. This year we focused on Havendale Park, however we also cleaned Donalda Park, Marilyn Avenue and Dowry Avenue at the GO tracks; and the Marilyn Avenue to Lockie Avenue pedestrian pathway! Well done!

We enjoyed meeting new friends, connecting with neighbours and free Time Horton coffee and timbits.
